Diltiazem HCL Medical PrecautionsIf you suffer from "sick sinus" syndrome or second- or third-degree heart block (various types of irregular heartbeat), you should not take diltiazem unless you have a ventricular pacemaker. Diltiazem HCL Medical NotesThe effects of Cardizem during pregnancy have not been adequately studied. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. Cardizem appears in breast milk and could affect a nursing infant. If this medication is essential to your health, your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding until your treatment with this medication is finished.
Diltiazem HCL Missed DosagesIf you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Never take 2 doses at the same time.
